What Stayed

The things that went on living with me.

Stories, books and music have quietly shaped the way I see the world.

This little corner is where I share the films and series that made me laugh, cry and dream, the books I couldn’t put down, and the playlists I’ve lovingly curated for every mood, season and version of myself.

Maybe one of them will find a place in your life too.

An empty hall, still lit.

Films & series

Reach for a title. It remembers its face.

Some people collect things.

I collect stories.

Whenever I want to escape this world for a little while, I either start a beautiful series, plug in my earphones and listen to my favourite music, or pick up a book. These three have always been my comfort space. Something I simply can’t stop coming back to.

And honestly… I feel like escaping almost every single day. Haha.

Fantasy has always been my favourite. I don’t really believe fantasy is something unreal. I think it’s simply a terrain we haven’t explored yet, so we call it fantasy. Anything that’s beyond the ordinary immediately catches my attention.

Maybe that’s why most of what I love lives somewhere between reality and imagination.

Mermaids, Goblins, Grim Reapers, Vampires, Werewolves, Energy cultivation, Magic, Ancient worlds.

And of course, K-dramas and C-dramas. These days, finding a genuinely kind relationship almost feels like fantasy too. So enjoy that as well mostly here.

These stories make my life feel bigger, softer and far more beautiful. They remind me that there are still worlds waiting to be imagined.

Without them, this ordinary world would feel a little too ordinary.

Books

Books are different.

I don’t just read them.

I live inside them.

I remember reading It Ends With Us and It Starts With Us back to back without sleeping. I should have been exhausted, but I loved every minute of it.

I don’t know whether it’s my imagination or simply how deeply I feel things, but I become part of every story. Sometimes I’m just a silent observer standing in the corner. Sometimes I become one of the characters. I laugh when they laugh, cry when they cry, and somehow carry little pieces of them with me long after I close the book.

At different points in my life, fictional characters have been my friends, my comfort, my heartbreak and even my teachers.

Music

A playlist for every mood, season and version of myself.

Music is woven into almost every part of my life.

I genuinely don’t remember a single day when I haven’t listened to at least a few songs.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone have quietly become part of my everyday life.

During my engineering days, I listened to Taylor Swift’s Red on repeat for what felt like forever. At one point, she wasn’t just my favourite artist—she was my inspiration, my motivation, and someone whose music always seemed to understand exactly how I felt.

I’ve always loved discovering random songs, finding new artists and creating playlists for every mood, every season and every version of myself.

Music has this strange ability to make me feel understood.

Sometimes even loved.

When I look back, I realise these three things—stories, books and music—have shaped the way I see the world more than I ever realised.

They taught me to look beyond logic and practicality.

To stay curious.

To notice little things.

To wonder.

To imagine possibilities that don’t yet exist.

Maybe that’s why I find so much joy in ordinary moments.

Maybe that’s why I stop to watch rain.

Or sunsets.

Or people.

They’ve taught me that life isn’t only about what is happening.

It’s also about everything we quietly choose to notice.

I don’t think of these as hobbies.

They’ve simply become part of who I am.

Life is what you make it
