What do we actually fall in love with?
Is it the way someone looks?
The way their skin glows in the sunlight?
Their eyes?
Their smile?
The way they laugh, speak, or walk?
Or is it their personality?
Or perhaps it is simply that they fit so effortlessly into the life we imagine for ourselves.
If this is what we fall in love with, what happens when all of it begins to change?
When beauty fades…
When personalities evolve…
When our needs—physical, emotional, psychological, social, even financial—are no longer the reason we stay…
What remains?
If we still choose one another, what is that choice made of?
Does love need a reason?
Or is love simply the willingness to walk together because our lives naturally move in the same direction?
Perhaps love is less about finding perfection…
And more about growing in compatibility.
