I feel scared.
I couldn’t sleep, and my mood was too low to even play PUBG. So I started watching a K-drama, hoping it would distract me. But somewhere in the middle of an episode, I began hearing sounds that were definitely not coming from the television. I paused the video just to be sure. The sounds didn’t stop.
I still don’t know what I heard.
I could hear what felt like anklets, someone’s breathing, quiet whispers… and I couldn’t tell whether they were real or whether my mind was creating them. That uncertainty frightened me more than the sounds themselves. I was no longer able to distinguish reality from imagination, and that thought alone made me want to cry.
More than anything, I wished someone was sitting beside me, gently telling me that everything was going to be alright. Being alone made the fear feel heavier. Even now, I can still hear things. My heart races so loudly that sometimes it feels impossible to calm it down.
